  •  Forgive this OT, but the sight of "Gaelic" (6+ / 0-)

    reminded me of this old joke:

    Finn, was a professional translator of Gaelic. One day, his friend Brian came upon him in the pub, and was shocked to see the obvious distress and despair which had Finn in its grip.

    Brian: My God man. You look terrible! What tragedy has befallen you?

    Finn: Well, you see, I've got this job to translate a Mexican work into Gaelic, and it's destroying me. I'm completely stymied; I'm pulling my hair out. There's this idiom they have: 'mañana.' And I can find no way to convey in our tongue such a terrible sense of urgency.
