Rick Snyder says it may not be until early next year when he announces his re-election campaign:

LANSING — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder says he likely won't announce until early next year whether he will seek a second four-year term in 2014.

Snyder, in a telephone interview from Beijing, where he is on the last day of a week-long trade mission, suggested he hasn't made a final decision.

"I've got to check in with the family," he told the Free Press.

    ...

There have also been rumblings that a tea party primary challenger to Snyder could emerge at next weekend’s Mackinac conference, which is held every two years and draws Republican leaders from across the nation.

“I believe in the democratic process,” Snyder said of a possible challenger. “I’m just going to go with the flow.”

    ...

Snyder noted he hasn’t even said whether he will seek re-election. Expect that announcement “probably not until early next year,” he said.

He added: “There’s more I want to do.”

I do not for one minute believe like some theorists that he's not going to run.  Despite many liberals still holding this idea that he's "different" from other politicians - in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, BTW - I would be absolutely shocked if he didn't run, again.  Snyder IS running for re-election, mark my words, and there is no way in hell with his money and the establishment in Michigan that a tea party challenger could topple him in a primary.  Now, they could definitely seriously damage him for a general, but there is no one that could be him in a primary.
