series will become a book?  I get frustrated trying to read this kind of posting online because I get tired of reading a computer screen, and I am immensely interested in this series.

When the red state assaults on women's reproductive rights launched into high gear after the 2010 election, and the obvious growth and strength of the Christian fundamentalist Right flashed blatantly obvious (in their efforts to take over legislation and public policy) I became motivated to research and write this (as a book). I felt that most people actually have little understanding of the history of religion -- how it came to be, why it came to be, and what existed before. We're simply born into the soup of it. And whether we give credence to the truth of religion (or not--and as you know, I am talking about Christianity that dominates in the West, though I would say the same is essentially true for all the world's dominant and male-dominated religions) we don't look beyond how damaging it has been to people (both men and women, even though its design was to make the world man's oyster) but especially how bad it has been for women, and for the planet.

I didn't finish the Punishing Eve project, rather I sat it aside and focused on polishing and publishing my latest novel, "A Midnight Trade." (which is a book, and an engaging and entertaining read, as well as educational--you should buy it! and read it :-) It needs readers and reader reviews............

Recently, I decided to try carving up the chapters that I had written (Punishing Eve) and posting them on-line as a series, both on my new website and on this site, to gauge interest. It has been positive, though mild, I would say. I've contemplated trying to launch publishing it as a kick-starter project. Just a thought. Right now, I'm simply dedicated to 'finishing' it. Because, after putting as much effort into the research and writing as I have, I think it deserves to be brought to completion.

Thank you for reading it, and expressing positive interest.

      •  Thank you Janet. (0+ / 0-)

I'll try to keep up with it online, but I'd still rather curl up with a hard copy in a nice comfy chair and take my time soaking it in.

My part in the "red state" struggle is expressed in my work for a reproductive rights political PAC.
