    ... when the kids & grandsons were up, we looked through my telescope at Saturn.  It was the boys' first sight of Saturn in real life, not just in a photograph, and I can still hear their "oohs" and "ahhs" ...

    It's a rare event for them to be at our home when the weather is right for optimal telescope-viewing, and rarer still for (a) Saturn to be well-positioned in the evening sky during such a visit, (b) the moon to not be in an phase that would interfere with our viewing, and (c) Saturn to be at an angle that displays the rings to good effect.

    The picture by Cassini looks like it could have been taken that same night by someone looking back at us.

    Accordingly, I have shared this with everyone who was there that night.
