it's also important to note these people are pushing material that originates from the creationist homeschool movement, which is it's own particular brand of ignorant. Spelling errors and everything.

I actually heard a creationist "educator" of some standing argue that getting their textbooks approved as state public textbooks would "open the eyes" of Texas parents and cause them to defect to christian charter schools.

It will certainly open their eyes to something, but I doubt it's what people like this think.

Nice comment. But if you're going to talk about spelling errors, clean up your punctuation. Your first "it's" should not have the apostrophe. "It's" means "It is".

      •  Ummm.... (0+ / 0-)

"It is also important to note..." is exactly what I meant to write? That's why I used it's?

Its ok, NW Rhino. I understand the compulsion to correct. I'm a school teacher. I figured you would be telling me to capitalize my first letter.

But thanks for trying to help me out. I haven't had a good dose of "let me tell you how you should have done it" since my grandmother died almost 2 years ago. RIP. If you are up there watching, NW Rhino gots your back.

and I'm gonna go ahead and blame autocorrect here because, well, its why it's happened.

I'm just messing with you, here. I don't take this stuff personally.

        :)
