    Most likely his concerns and objections over Alexander's excesses weren't because he didn't inherently approve of them, but because he feared that their excessiveness would raise red flags that would endanger the whole program, which Hayden is now handsomely profiting from in the private sector as an NSA contractor. Plus, he's probably trying to look innocent here.

    Which, if true, means that former allies in unconstitutional transgressions are now betraying each other. Which can only be good for the country.
