  •  No one says it better than you, Mr. Sanders. (10+ / 0-)

Thank you. Long time fan of yours.

I am sick of being the world's cop when so many suffer and have dire needs here. The health of our country is dependent on a healthy middle class. We're not there. We once were, but no more.

While my heart aches for those in Syria, and I do believe there is a serious issue with chemical weapons, I don't see a military strike there as anything but explosively dangerous at this point in time.

I hope the Americans and the Russians will be able to hammer something out. You know, someone said on this site recently, and my apologies for not remembering who:

    Great power requires great patience.
Because those who have great power and use it recklessly, as we have seen time and time again throughout history, are the biggest threat we face.

IF there is another mass murder of people in Syria due to chemical warfare, then we will be revisiting this.

But for now, I can't help but be just a little bit happy (I know that runs contrary to Kossack instincts ;) that for now, which is all we ever really have, military intervention has been delayed, if not out and out put on the back burner.

"A typical vice of American politics is the avoidance of saying anything real on real issues." Theodore Roosevelt.
