  •  About 40 years from now you will read about the (16+ / 0-)

success the intelligence services had with the co-opting of the leadership of OWS. The human telephone communication was unique, but ultimately the undoing of OWS.

In Portland I identified and outed 2 intelligence operatives both of whom disappeared immediately afterwards. When a group of veterans got together, one agent showed up and made sure that any plans we were developing went awry. At another gathering, another agent did her best to make sure long-winded and mentally challenged people got the mic.

The Department of Homeland Security quickly owned the OWS movement and did, what I'm sure they feel, a great job in protecting the financial community. What I wonder is to what degree did the President resist or support that agency's activities. I don't think I will live long enough to learn that answer.

I used to hope that Obama would become a member of the Supreme Court. Now, I hope not.

Those who fought the war in Afghanistan won it. Get them out of Afghanistan NOW . . . It's long past time. The time has come to repair this country and care for its' veterans.

      •  Now how could that happen? (0+ / 0-)

I don't carry either a camera or a cell phone. Those vets in the room at the time got it. The guy was nicely dressed with a good haircut, presented himself as a member of the steering committee - or whatever they called it, and took over as someone who should be running our group. The other person lined up all of her speakers and kept them in line for the mic even when they wanted to leave. She, too, was better dressed than most of us.

You know that old phase, "it takes one to know one"? Well, I was one for 3 years.

        •  honestly? (0+ / 0-)

I think that once you start thinking they're out to get you I think it's easy to see 'them' every where.

I'm not going to dismiss your observations but I think the simpler explanation and therefore more likely explanation is that there were no government agents. Just people being people.

But who knows maybe I am wrong.
