    Far more than policies we see in other countries which essentially ban insults. I can't think of a single institution in the world that doesn't deserve some level of criticism. Surely, Islam deserves plenty, both in terms of dogma, and how certain individual Muslims interpret those beliefs and act on them. The rest of the world's religions are worthy of their own criticism as well.

    Besides, if you tell people they don't have a robust right to freedom of speech and religion, including the right to offend people, then they can, and will, pass laws restricting the rights of Muslims, and others to practice their faith and to express themselves however they please. See hijab and Minaret bans in France and Switzerland.

    No thanks. Freedom of speech can be messy, but it's a wonderful right.
