... I opined that NBC has proven the validity of the Peter Principle via two employees.

David Gregory was a decent reporter for NBC ... even earning a put-down from George W. after Gregory dared to ask French president Jacques Chirac a question in French ... and in France, even. But Gregory was promoted and .... has been all downhill from there.

I recall being very impressed by Chuck Todd's ability as a data analyst (especially during election season) .... but he too, after being promoted, showed his inabilities.

been getting more and more annoying of late.

His latest failure just really got my goat.  Add to that another of my pet peeves....the use of "more importantly" when he obviously meant "more important" and it just made me want to smack him on the noggin with a grammar book.

Mind you, I am far from perfect in that regard.  But I am not a paid journalist for a major news organisation.  My writing here is almost always in the vernacular, or in "MartiSpeak" or in LOLCAT!  He is paid far too much to be such an arrogant ass with no grasp of proper grammar.

OK, kiddo, rant over. :-) He just really got to me this week.

That said, there have been plenty of happier things to make the world a sweeter, kinder place.  The kid from DQ tops the list.  The kids from DK are on it, too.

      Hugs,
      Marti
