I sometimes go to the asylum to see what the crazies are thinking(?) of the latest GOP scam, and was surprised to read this:

...people begin signing up for ObamaCare next Tuesday. Nothing will stop that, not even a government shutdown. What's a government shutdown got to do with the state of New York opening up its private exchange on a web site in a few weeks? Nothing. New York's private exchanges will be open on October 1st whether DC is open for business or not.
Reality, at some point, must be accoutned for.
We've lost. Time to move on to something else like ensuring we don't lose the House and be subject to more or worse Obama ideas that we'll be unable to stop because we were too delusional to elude the trap the Dems are setting us up for at this very moemnt.
Sick of bad leadership putting us into these binds. At some point, we have to think about winning again.
Apparently, not all the crazies are completely insane.

Tax and Spend I can understand. I can even understand Borrow and Spend. But Borrow and give Billionaires tax cuts? That I have a problem with.

    •  Wow! Though, I disagree about the "trap" part. (5+ / 0-)

The repugs did this to themselves.  Dems just stood back and let them.  Serves 'em right.

Bad leadership putting us into these binds...oh, the horrors...is it those Tea Partyjihadiis or the compromising 'moderate' RINOs who still imagine Americans might want a working government? What we might need is people able to build bridges to effective Bi-partisanship? (ugh...that will leave a mark)

Unspoken Fine Print: Defunding Obamacare isn't really going to work because those darn states and exchanges can't be defunded and insurance will be fully paid for by premiums to non-governmental private organizations...that we can't defund...so whose great idea was all this? Romney?

Hey, ding! (40 watt incandescent bulb flickers on) What if the GOP calls the act of actually cooperating with Democratic representatives to deliver essential bills Hetero-partisanship? We'll finally look like magnanimous geniuses who understand the wisdom of governing on behalf of all Americans! Ok, there's some bugs to work out of that concept before Primary season...

I shall hope these savvy Republicans plan their purge of bad leadership in the near future--preferably starting as early as 9AM EST Wednesday, November 5, 2014. May it continue all the way down to state and county levels and of course College Young Republicans.

Well, there's wising up about the above, but there is some other offensive obstruction and anti-American hostilities which the GOP has been waging: The War on Women, The War on LGTB, The War on Immigrants, The War on Liberals, The War on Atheists, The War on the Poor & Sickly, The War on The Arts, Satire and Comedy, The War on Public Schools, Teachers and Libraries, The War on Clean Environment, The War on Consumer Protections, The War on Worker Safety and Unions, The War on Sane Gun Ownership , Regulation & Use, The War on the Free Speech of Anyone But Us (GOP), The War on Preventing Taxation, Transparent Accountability and Prosecution of the Banksters & Very Rich & Corrupt.

I do fear the GOP realizing that Americans are feeling more than just a bit war weary. When they are unable to see their own ad on Uncle Sam appearing in the women's clinic as applying equally to their ugly anti-Abortion and anti-Birth Control bedroom sexual control agendas, I'd have to argue their realizations is many months away from having any true logical and consistent influence.

What if a majority of GOP wakes up and realizes that the cantankerous 100% non-stop campaign-mode GOP effort to 'retake America' has been declaring war on whomever Jesus declared Blessed in the Beatitudes (Sermon on the Mount)? And maybe the GOP shouldn't oppose any sort of government support of any true Child of God ethical and empathetic behavior? Or realizes how inconsistent this is with their demands that only the GOP be recognized as angels of light, as 'true blue Christian Patriots'? Strange how righteously 'Loving America' appears to mean (at least for GOP die hards) hating at least 47% of all Americans and only trying to support via government the top 1%. And, surprisingly, no, a majority of Americans are not feeling it, and, for what it's worth, neither is The Pope.
