Despite the fact that modern economics developed in Holland during the 15th and 16th Centuries, this is a common tea baggery party story about socialism and capitalism. The idea is that when their hairy old white man hero god waved his magic wand about 6-7 thousand years ago, not only did the universe burst forth but socialism and capitalism burst forth at the same time.

The big contradiction with this story is that from time immemorial the major political system that drove economies of that era was feudalism. Feudalism didn't just burst forth in the middle ages, forms of feudalism were practiced in ancient Egypt and mesopotamia. In fact the story of Moses in the Torah is one of rebellion against the Egyptian feudal overlords in Canaan which was a vassal state of Egypt. Once hunter-gatherer societies became sedentary and turned to agriculture, feudalism became the natural political system to allocate resources and collect the spoils of labor. In fact it was the rise of the Roman republic that finally broke the feudal mold. The fall of the western Roman empire sent Europe back to the feudal black hole while the eastern Roman empire evolved into a proto capitalistic society and lasted until 1453 when Constantinople was overrun by the Ottoman Turks and reverted to a quasi feudal society until Kemal Ataturk founded the republic of Turkey.

Knowledge is Power. Ignorance is not bliss, it is suffering. If you like hypocrite Obama, you'll love hypocrite Hillary.
