The US is not satisfied with this.

The US demands that Iran cease all enrichment of uranium, something Iran has an unquestioned right to do.

The NPT does not require that states allow openly hostile nations to send "inspectors" anywhere they wish without notice to compile target lists for airstrikes, as the US did in Iraq under the rubric of arms inspections.

There are no independent inspectors anymore.  Read the Wikileaks cables.  The IAEA has been subverted and "our man" is heading it.  That's according to internal State Department memos.

    •  UN Inspectors (0+ / 0-)

Let me cut through all of this. Until UN inspectors with access they say is adequate certify Iran is not building nukes, I will not believe that Iran is not building nukes. I want Iran not to build nukes.

I don't think Iran is run by "crazy people", though I do know it's run by theocrats - which is crazy enough. Regardless of all that I don't want Iran to have nukes.

In fact I don't want Israel, the Sauds, N Korea, or anyone else to have nukes. Not Pakistan, nor India, nor Brazil, nor Russia, nor the US. But there's going to be a last country with nukes, and I prefer that to be the US.
