  •  Is That So Hard? (6+ / 0-)

    Riddle me this:

Why aren't Democrats holding as many press conferences as Republicans, and saying "We're doing what the American people and American businesses want."

All I hear is the Iron Curtain Bubble brigade saying that destroying the American economy is what the American people want. Well, mostly, not all. Democrats sometimes make their point, but sheesh.

Okay, I'll grant that Republicans control the corporate media, but it's not so bad that blunt statements from congressional leaders at news conferences won't be covered. They just need to do it in a simple, direct way, and do it often.

    Is that so hard?

Paul Krugman implies that many, if not most, if not almost all, CEOs and 1% types live in the same iron bubble. http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/.... Think they don't go along with the thinking of Ryan, Demint, Lee, Rand, and other Republican leaders? Were it not so, but I think a lot of them are just as foolish.

To save your life and our country, read "Pity The Billionaire" by Thomas Frank, and "Winner-Take-All-Politics" by Jacob S. Hacker and Paul Pierson. Then read more books.

    •  They do have pressers (6+ / 0-)

But the media rarely airs Democratic press conferences. You can watch them on the Democrats' website. That's the reality we're up against.

The rightwing media behemoth is truly cacophonous and overwhelms the entire country. Our Lib billionaires have not bought media. Only break we get is our dominance of the intertubes.
