  •  At first I was hurt, since I'm not socially (3+ / 0-)

    smooth,
and the cool kids get all the friends,
    and talk among themselves.....

    (That was my first reaction
    to the much greater response,
    and the chummy comment thread,
    here,
    and not in my diary.)

    However.

I was given a prominent place,
    here in this diary.

    So,
    I should be satisfied.

    Also,
maybe I can rise to the challenge,
the challenge to live up to the standards
    pointed out and admired
    in this diary.

    Thanks for that.

    Can I do it,
    in my spare time,
    when I'm dog tired
    from unloading trucks at Walmart?

    Of course,
    my response is clear;
    it's in the poem above,
    the one that starts:

    "We do what we can,
    with what we've got..."

    Hope someone reads this.

    Late to the party.

    I was at a funeral,
    and doing laundry,
and I desperately needed a nap...

    Oh well.

    I'll have more chances later.

    Thanks for reading,
    those few who do.

Bringing a child into the world at this point in history is a crime, the crime of child endangerment.
