    Why is it that war machines are some of our best "art"?

    For me it's not just the looks. There's a certain "elegant savagery" to them.

      They were designed with a purpose, and to be as efficient as possible in order to carry out that purpose, while at the same time getting the precious cargo inside back home safely. In making them efficient, fluid dynamics being what it is (air is considered a fluid for this purpose), they are graceful, sleek, and fast. A shark has a similar feel in a living creature.
