    I'm not sure Bucky was right about that.  I mean, models change anyway, they just do, and it is often hard to see all the stuff that brought it about -- a good deal of it is often the implicit models of the people working in the previous generation of a system, and the ways that succeeds and is opposed.

      maybe it's not as nice as lemonade from lemons, but we have to start thinking about what to do... in ways we don't normally think.

      as far as eating the bear in national politics, it ain't gonna happen by voting. also, i wonder about interest on the debt/loans during the shut down: is that another bank bonaza?

      as for Bucky, I think he was dead on: we can't fight against. we have to put energy in what we want, create what we want... if we remain in this mode, for sure we will disappear ... just do it.
