  •  This Is the First American Revolution. (8+ / 0-)

In 1776 we did not revolt, we seceded. Nobody thought to overthrow Crown or Parliament, we left the Empire otherwise intact and free to self govern, nor did we unseat the Continental Congress.

In the end, after failing in revolution, the southern Confederacy also seceded, leaving the union otherwise intact and free to self govern.

This is different. This is the overthrow and termination of the entire American Experiment by establishing direct governance of the oligarchy at all levels from local to federal. It's achieved that goal far enough to have established some oligarchical veto power at all levels.

I think the fight we are in is to determine not whether but how much of our governance the oligarchs take  over.

We are called to speak for the weak, for the voiceless, for victims of our nation and for those it calls enemy.... --ML King "Beyond Vietnam"

    •  It is exactly that kind of epic struggle. (0+ / 0-)

Robber Baron "ReTHUGisms": John D. Rockefeller -"The way to make money is to buy when blood is running in the streets"; Jay Gould -"I can hire one half of the working class to kill the other half."

    •  The Tea Baggers were initally useful idiots easily (4+ / 0-)

      manipulated by moneyed interests.

The same mindless, moronic qualities that made them so easy to manipulate also is the reason that the monster the moneyed interests created is now uncontrollable.

Frankenstein is running amuck, and he doesn't have the brain power for rational thought.

They can't even come up with a clear reason for shutting down the government.
They careen from one vague idea to another.

They're angry but they can't intelligently articulate why they're angry.

They spout shallow generalities about freedom, debt and taxes, but it's degenerating into gibberish.
