President Obama is poised to break the GOP because he's learned the error of bipartisanship(I hope) and will stop treating republican buy-in as a necessary precondition to legislation(I hope).

But this nation has paid a heavy price for his obsession. I was walking through a primarily African-American neighborhood recently and was alarmed to at the sheer number of folks lining the streets, watching life pass them by. There were so many, there almost wasn't room on the sidewalks to accommodate them!

They are the collateral damage of post-partisanship.
    And it is a tragedy.

But what are we discussing in DC? Austerity, and nothing more. Some of that blame belongs to Obama because he placed GOP support as a crucial ingredient to his initiatives. And, starting with the stimulus, it's resulted in tight-fisted, cruel restrictions on the size/shape of the federal reaction to the recession.

The nation has paid a price for every moment he spent courting Senator Grassley or Corker or Snowe or Collins. There is nothing "adult" about that.

I'm tipping your comment outta respect for your tone which I appreciate.

Two quick notes: 1) BBB and I are not connected in any way. We are very different men, with our own opinions, beliefs and principles.

    2) President Obama hasn't defeated the Tea-Partiers(yet). The Federal government is shut down while the Democrats try to convince the GOP to reopen under sequester-level funding. That is not victory, my friend.
