  •  At least once, sometimes twice a day ... (4+ / 0-)

I call my representative's office. The day after the shutdown started, I called and told them I would be calling in every single day until it's over. And that every single day I would be asking when she would show some sign of leadership, rather than hiding in the flock of sheep known as "establishment Republicans."

She - Shelley Moore Capito - is giving up her House seat to run for Jay Rockefeller's Senate seat next year, and she's generally seen as a lock to win.

But I've told the staff every time I call that if Shelley thinks that she can simply camouflage her lack of spine and no one will notice next year on the campaign trail, I will do everything I can to dog her heels and hang her actions - inactions - irresponsibility - around her neck.

    •  She's one of the House reps with a zero rating (1+ / 0-)

on the Progressive scale, a proprietary database I compile and maintain and she sponsored very few bills this year.

She's actually in the same category as my rep according to data.  Rightwing non-leader.  I don't follow the politics of the state and I don't know Capito's bio.  But by comparison, I don't anyone would ever imagine Matt Salmon running for state-wide office.

There is no existence without doubt.
