    continue to hammer the republicans the Dems will keep their spine. If the repubs find a new slogan and the polls start moving the other way then all bets are off...

      we could not 'win' against the NLF in Vietnam. One of the clearest clues to that fact was their practice of hiding bombs in the corpses of their fallen comrades. Suicide bombers in Iraq was another clue that the opposition was willing to go to unthinkable extremes. Zealots are not cowed by pain and they are more than willing to exact pain on innocents. That is what we are currently facing with the charge of the lightheaded briade. The pain inflicted on the American people, on the whole world full of 'others', is a central feature of their immolation. They are not focused on the suicide portion of their suicide mission; they are the collateral damage in this attempt to burn down the whole unfriendly, unrecognizable world.
