    ...back in 1860 that Southern Democrats wouldn't secede, because that would sink them in the polls.

    The civil war is on, and it's not about the polls. Even if it was, the next Congress is 15 months away--in the best case, that's a long time to wait for the cavalry.

    The real and present danger remains & the Republican Party holds the cards & they are unanimous.

      that war not going too well for the South with major cities and large swaths of land being burned to the ground.

      What makes these assholes think THIS was will go as well?  If the GOP continue down their path of destruction in this BS war their waging, they will not only lose but they will lose badly come Nov 2014.  The only question is can the rest of us hold out til then or will people take it upon themselves to fight back now.

      south anymore and we don't have two armies shooting at each other in this country. i guess we could get there but we are not there.
