  •  There was an article in Slate of all places (7+ / 0-)

(which is not normally an outpost of wingnuttery) basically saying Ryan was the adult in the room (my paraphrase, not their words) and he was going to save the day (maybe) for the Republicans. Which would be funny if we were not in such a serious situation. Ryan is the guy who had the fabulous economic plan he and Romney were trotting out in the last election, which left huge parts to the imagination in terms of how it would work (it probably wouldn't). And the parts you could understand were mostly about screwing the 99% in favor of people in Romney's income bracket. Ryan isn't the smart boy some GOPers think he is and he is moderate only in comparison to the likes of Cruz.

    •  Ryan is and always has been a fraud (8+ / 0-)

Pierce has his number - and that of the press - here.

Quite simply, this is the courtier press refusing to give up its chew-toy. Years ago, for reasons I still don't understand, this complete charlatan was inducted into the League Of Serious Men, despite the fact that his "budget" is a naked blueprint for a plutocratic dystopia. He trotted it out in 2010 and was laughed at by, among other people, the laff riots at the CBO. He ran for vice-president and the Democrats hung Ryan's zombie-eyed granny-starving around Willard Romney's neck -- where, it must be said, it fit like a tailored short. Ryan and his economic snake oil was resoundingly rejected by the entire country, and now people are lining up to help him peddle it again.

meeting turned to Ryan and said, "You know Paul, you and Mitt Romney didn't win the election, I did.  And Americans don't want Medicare voucherized or SS messed with.  So we aren't going to take your deal"  "You lost, I won, now it's your turn to negotiate with Senator Reid."

I would love it if he said that to that little shit head.

then Sarah Palin is qualified to be a heart beat away from the Presidency.

The GOP propaganda machine is reduced to just pulling stuff out of their asses.

The amazing thing is that so many Americans are willing to accept at face value what they pull out of their asses.
