    ...in New York State, we have an official "Conservative" Party. Most Republicans throughout the state win office if they are on both the Republican and Conservative Party lines. When Republicans have only that line and a separate, active Conservative candidate, their chances at election are dramatically reduced. That's how Rep. Bill Owens (D-NY-24), the first Democrat elected to that are since before the Civil War, won his seat.

    We don't need an out-and-out Tea Bagger to defeat King, we simply need for someone to run as a Conservative to siphon off some of his votes, combined with a good Democratic candidate.

      Is it possible his shift in tone is because with his new district boundaries he inherited a Conservative party contender?
