city or gone to a game at the ballpark.  What's it cost these days to go see a Tigers game?

I'm about 90 miles from Detroit.  I haven't been to a ball game since they played in Tiger Stadium.  Teevee and the net work for me.

we had a minor league team downtown in a nice park.  The seats were fairly cheap, and the beer was micro brew.  It was easy to go to, and I actually enjoyed it.

But we lost our minor league team a few years ago.  I lived in Oklahoma City for a couple years back in 1999.  The, to, had a fantastic minor league ball park and the team was amazingly well supported.

        •  there's a MiL team here in Lansing (0+ / 0-)

The Lansing Lugnuts. Seats there are about 20 bucks and they have a decent microbrew too.  They're a Cubs affiliate so I lose track of the players easily but it's a fun place to go watch a ball game in summer.

was nearly $100. a person for individual seats in a fairly decent location at Fenway.  Just about the whole park is bought up with season tickets, but some are re-sellers and turn around and sell on line.  That's how we got our tickets twice to individual games.
Scalpers at the Park before the game can be in the $300. range for rather ordinary seats.

Don't even ask about play-off or World Series tickets.  Boston has been hungry for a long time, and had the meal snatched out from under them (usually by the Yankees) too many times.   This even with 2004.

BTW - caught a photo taken in the afternoon - there was a rainbow over Fenway, arching right into the middle of the field.  :-)
