  •  Yeah, yeah, yeah, BUT (4+ / 0-)

"the problem" isn't really the "1% Rich" ... who are for the most part simply fairly-well paid workers ...

Or even the 1/2% Rich ... who would be the  "scholarship boys" who go on to be Corporate Samurai   (close attendants upon Nobility.)

The Problem Rich are the 1/100% movers and shakers.  Some are First Generation Entrepreneur Job Creator Godlings ... but most are Scions of the Great Families of America -- The Brothers Koch, for example.

So yes ... there are Nice "aristos" ... the Marquise de Lafayette was a great Democracy sympathizer ... and the Marquis de Sade was a premature proto-feminist and sexual class-leveler.

Marx observed that "Bourgeois" often practices alms-giving and largesse as both Conspicuous Consumption AND as a means of salving their guility conciences.  (It is to be noted that alms and largesse never come near alleviating the conditions they are given to partially ameliorate.)

There IS however a problem with the  large number of Sort-of-Rich, and Hope-to-Be-Rich individuals who offer themselves as fig-leaves for the real Masters of the Universe ... individually, no worse than the rest of fallen, sinful humanity -- collectively  "dangerous enablers of economic and political sociopathy".

are made up of different sorts of people, including many liberals.

      •  Perhaps "several liberals" ? (0+ / 0-)

... quiet men of substance, working behind the scenes to make things so much better -- especially for people in  the Developing World  (where the cheap skilled labor comes from).

And in their own private lives ... especially where their immediate families are concerned --- I'm sure they're ALL wonderfully kind, gracious, thoughtful people.

But why is this a topic on which to lecture us all ?

It's not like "they" will be grateful ... or even forebearing as a result.
