    I remember when we had a poster named DumpTerryMcAuliffe and that was a major plank of the "better" Democrats brand on this site.

    Perhaps part of the reason for lower turn out is that there wasn't much enthusiasm for the candidate. He really ran on his strength on fundraising, not on governing. We have to have candidates who are strong on both.

    Although the broader issue you raise about 2014 is a big one. But the problem isn't in my district in NY. It's about getting to other campaigns in areas where you have the suicide caucus to put some pressure on them.

      We're about the same age in Kos-years. Of course, someone who might suck as the head of the DNC might be just fine in a local or statewide political role.
