In the last year have been motivating Africans...

Seeing Obama up there, and then seeing that anywhere the GOP controls you are basically as good as murdered (their ground will get stood on)... lights a fire for some folks.

    Not enough of them...

But the ones showing up are at least holding steady.

Generations of 'the system' and mainstream culture telling folks 'your vote doesn't matter' have caused a lot of disenfranchisement...
    - And that's been an even more powerful tool that outright stripping the rights of the remaining few who do show up.

You will hear people time and time again on streets 'fed up with the government and the way things are' and then refusing to vote as a result of that, when that should be the very reason to vote...

The other side has managed 'false equivalency' for so long, that people actually believe its a choice between two shades of the same thing, a lesser of two evils... People actually believe the mess we're in has been caused by 'politicians' in a general sense, and not one party...
    - And the media is very entrenched in promoting that falsehood.

Time and again I hear people tell me I am 'too partisan'... that all politicians are up to no good. They see a disaster, and never look under the hood to determine which gremlin was chewing on the engine wires...

The only sane response IS to be partisan.

    Even for the other side.

I hate to say it... but the insanity of the GOP is more sane than the sanity of the Dems... :) They at least know that picking a side and showing up for the battle matters...

The roaches always win if you turn out the lights.
