This is what you plan to say to people that don't vote? STFU?

So if you think the Dems are "just the same" as the Rs, maybe you should a) STFU and go find some evidence or b) get involved in your party and change things!
It should be easy for people to tell the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Yes the corporate media is partly to blame. But so are Democrats - there should be no question. None. They should be governing in a way that people can easily tell the difference.

Then the lectures won't be necessary.

      The parties are completely different.

      •  BOTH parties voted for the sequester (3+ / 0-)

Fully half of the members of the House Progressive Caucus voted for the sequester.

That's a profile of a party that doesn't stand for anything.

        •  So what. (0+ / 0-)

It reduced the military budget by a lot. Do you want a bigger military?

          •  ??? (0+ / 0-)

It hasn't reduced military spending much at all.  That's supposed to be the next round, and predictably, Democrats and Republicans are doing everything they can to stop that round of cuts from taking place.

But seniors, college students, people in the armed forces, working people, poor people?  They get the screws.

Further, the sequester is responsible for all of our political paralysis for the last two years.  Democrats who voted for that law handed Republicans a club with which to beat Democrats over the head for the foreseeable future.

You are speaking the truth for you.

But I gather they do not appear to be different enough to the people who Kos is saying need to vote.

        •  The people who need to vote don't understand (0+ / 0-)

the importance of a midterm election. Note that these same people do have a great track record of showing up for presidential election

If we follow your logic, the people love the policies of Obama but hate the policies of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

          Right?

          •  In a sense, yes (0+ / 0-)

although I think you may be overestimating the level of detail they are aware of. They're not interested to the extent that posters at this website are.
