    misunderstood.  For the sake of communication, it's better to be specific and precise, but the public isn't necessarily literate in the language of insurance.

    Some policy owners had insurance that was medically underwritten. The insurers screened applicants, especially in the 50-64 year-old age group to exclude all but the most healthy individuals.  That practice will no longer be allowed.

    Without screening for medical reasons it stands to reason that premiums for the group as a whole would probably increase.

    Should the people who benefitted from the exclusionary system continue to do so?  Does their objection against higher cost have precedence over the needs of those who were excluded completely?

    There is no existence without doubt.
