But why aren't Democrats in the Senate, and President Obama, raising a hue and cry about this unprecedented obstructionism.  When the Democrats threatened to filibuster Bush judicial nominees, Bush and the Republicans were all over the airwaives complaining, talk radio discussed it nonstop, and the Republican leadership in the Senate was ready to use the nuclear option.  Why are Dems so timid? Why doesn't Obama stand up for his nominees?

If we let the Republicans get away with this, we have essentially conceded that there is no point in electing a Democratic President, because the Republicans can simply block everything he does.  This is truly an attack on Constitutional order and the rule of law.
