  •  They are talking about this (13+ / 0-)

on my live CNN feed and I am shocked at what I'm hearing (paraphrased): the reality is that the partisan obstruction has been going on for a long time. The Republican party has refused to accept the consequences of the elections, which made this a necessary step as they left the Democrats with no other option. The unprecedented obstruction on the part of the Republicans had to end. Wow CNN, color me surprised.

but would not expect such lack of bias rationality to continue more than that.

the callers on C-SPAN's Washington Journal this morning.  More outrage and accusations of cheating, breaking the rules to change the rules, and "they'll be sorry" than you would have imagined - even for Republicans who just parrot right-wing talking points.  But the Democratic callers were cautious and worried about what would happen the next time the Republicans managed to control the senate.

"In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican." - H. L. Mencken
