    1963 is definitely late Boom.

    But culturally, the Boom really ends around 1960-1961.

    Doug Coupland defined Gen X with his book: In 1990 it was twentysomethings. Thus anyone born in the 1960s. It makes sense to me; 1963 grew up with The Clash and The Ramones. The Doors were not our people.

      I was born in 1962.  A friend of mine, born a couple years earlier, used to always gripe about the Baby Boomers and the "Mean Ol' Fascist Hippies" and liked to identify with Generation X.  I told him that technically speaking we were both sort of in the crack between the Boomers and the Gen-Xers and that maybe we should be called "Crack Babies".

      He was not amused.
