    As President Hamid Karzai's brothers began a campaign this week to take power in war-shattered Afghanistan
    Because I was under the impression that the brothers operated various restaurants in the Maryland area.

    But as that link points out, they seem to be fairly corrupt even at that mundane endeavor, apparently giving them impetus to move on to more nefarious things . .. .

      Restaurant in Chicago. It may have been a front, but it was an excellent restaurant for all that.

      He should've stuck it out instead of going home when Karzai took power; the “King of Kandahar” was assassinated by his own bodyguard a couple of years ago.

      When you triangulate everything, you can't even roll downhill...

        a "Helmand" in Baltimore at well.

        I kinda recall going there about 10 years ago; methinks it was pretty good.  

        But of course, I didn't have any idea about all that assassination stuff, seems like such concerns would only be exacerbated in a place like Baltimore . .. . .
