  •  Walmart is corporate America at its worst (11+ / 0-)

Plutocrats at the top, making tons of money thanks to government subsidies of its workforce.

IMO, Hillary will have to put distance from these Arkansas blood suckers.

Clinton Remained Silent As Wal-Mart Fought Unions

In six years as a member of the Wal-Mart board of directors, between 1986 and 1992, Hillary Clinton remained silent as the world's largest retailer waged a major campaign against labor unions seeking to represent store workers.

Clinton has been endorsed for president by more than a dozen unions, according to her campaign Web site, which omits any reference to her role at Wal-Mart in its detailed biography of her.

that challenged the management of Walmart, while she was on the board, she would have been kicked off. Walmart was the biggest client of the Rose Law Firm where HRC was a partner, the largest company in the state and one of the largest employers (maybe the largest). Bill was making $25,000 a year as governor and HRC was bringing home the bacon. Walmart was a big benefactor to Bill and Hillary Clinton and no one from Arkansas, who had national political ambitions, was going to challenge Walmart. At the time HRC was on the board of directors Walmart had a "Buy America" policy and most of its merchandise was made in the USA.

Hillary gets a pass from me on the Walmart board seat. She was first lady of Arkansas, Walmart was the largest company in the state, and biggest legal client of her firm. There wasn't any wiggle room for her.
