Although I wish he would run for that Senate seat in 2014 in MT.

No one on the hard left (us) would be totally satisfied with him in either role.  But, he would attract a lot of people from the middle (politically and geographically).

I think that the middle-of-the-roaders have had it with the Tea Party and they want a reason to vote Democratic.  The unfair labeling as a liberal that Obama has gotten has tainted their views of many traditional Democrats.  As a result I think that HRC would be well advised to go for Schweitzer.  They would be thinking of voting for HRC and Schweitzer would clinch the deal.  They don't blame her for Bill's infidelities (she's the victim they believe) and they now know that Bill was a moderate Democrat and they view his presidency as the good-ol-days.

Having grown up near there I know that the farmers would love to see a real farmer on the ticket.  I think that several states in addition to MT could go for the ticket, making Christie's shot at winning all the more dim.  It could even produce that landslide that we all privately dream about but dare not mention.

Even if he loses (in the primaries and isn't picked, or in the general as VP candidate) Schweitzer would position himself well for 2020.  I think it is a no-lose proposition for him.

Ted Cruz: The second coming of Christ, but not quite as good as Reagan (yet).
