  •  The cost of a can of soup has (12+ / 0-)

    gone up. In the last 5 years, in my area, it's doubled. I used to be able to find 2/$1 or $1.50, which was manageable. Crappy Campbells cheapest soups (not broths) are at least $1/can for the most part.

    Plus, most brands of soup I won't eat- they put Monosodium glutamate, trans-fats or high fructose corn syrup in them, all of which I avoid like the plague. But I am a soup eater. I prefer soup, especially when working because it's so quick and easy to cart a can in the car.

    For me, it's the cost and the crap they put in it.
