  •  So the Pope Is Selling the Vatican (0+ / 0-)

This pope is great at telling other people what they should do to follow Christ. But he's not selling his own desk. He's not selling anything except Jesus for a few obvious people, none of them himself.

He's not turning over the baby rapers their local police.

He's not telling Catholics that condoms aren't sinful, though they prevent AIDS and new children into lives of miserable poverty.

I know some believers who will tell me "give him time", and other excuses for walking the same walk as all his predecessors. But what these same people are getting excited over are things the pope could do on his own right now. He's had nearly a year now, and since he's 76 years old already, that's likely a double-digit percentage of the time he'll be pope.

In the reality community we don't want to hear what the pope believes. We see what he actually does, and we can tell what he believes. He believes that more reasonable words are a substitute for more reasonable actions. And it seems that's enough for the faith community to go on.
