it appears the Obama State Dept. is moving some embassy offices in the area.  Understandable, but I'd sure love it if they tried to use a little bit better communications strategies on these kinds of decisions, particularly when they know they're about to do something the right wing noise machine will exploit.

For a guy with 40 million twitter followers, Obama sure gets caught in PR wars more often than he should.

If cutting Social Security & Medicare benefits for low income seniors is what Democrats do after they win a budget standoff, I'd hate to see what they do after they lose one.

    •  Maybe the Obama administration has one of the (6+ / 0-)

finest communication systems in modern times that is not trying to dissemble.  Propaganda pitting people against one another draws in many and its a heavy lift when so many corporate interests own the media and so many people have confirmation bias to overcome.  The President is working everyday to reach out with the truth despite all of the obstacles in my opinion.

so why should Obama be explaining decisions made by Bush?  Even if he tried he'd be explaining Bush's decisions for well past his 8 years in office.

sometimes I think that after the elections they have no ability to communicate with the electorate or the masses, and I have always believed that they have absolutely no ability to communicate with average (the alleged silent majority).  I personally believe this has hampered his presidency, he needs to talk middle class, not educated class, oh well who knows

is a pretty good start on getting out a message.
