      care of Salinger. When I see someone cut and pasting and calling it a diary, I alert diarist. The diarist is free to ignore me. Then I alert the management and they decide the action(s).

      Why is it easier to buy a gun than it is to register to vote in most states?

        ...which seemed to imply that there wasn't an infringement issue due to the fact that Salinger is deceased.  
        Reading back, I see that Dumbo had mistaken your complaint against the diarist to a complaint against the folks who are perhaps infringing on the Salinger estate's copyright.
        I agree with you that the diarist shouldn't be violating other people's copyrights, though I notice that the article he's republishing has a Creative Commons license which may allow it.  Check the link at the very bottom of the quoted article.
