    Solar doesn't generate torque.  Wind power really does.

    Minority rights should never be subject to majority vote.

      wood performs good in bending, so,
      torque isn't the biggest problem

      ..are not a match made in heaven.  You'd have to extend the pole much higher so the blades clear the cables, and reinforce the pole for the added height, weight, and torque of the blade...much cheaper to just put up a real wind turbine and leave the power poles alone.
