  •  I went to the Creation Museum this past summer (8+ / 0-)

and the best argument is the one that Ham won't and doesn't touch in his very slick pseudoscience museum:

    radiometric dating

He makes an attempt, ranging from awkwardly reaching to bust-a-gut laughingly bizarre to compare the Creation myth with evolutionary theory, but there is not one mention, anywhere in the entire place of radiometric dating.

Why did I go to the place?   The museum is located about 10 miles from the school where I teach science, and evolution, geological time and climate change comprise about 50% of the curriculum at the grade level I teach.  At least half of my students have been bused there during vacation Bible School each summer, so I like to know what they've seen.

The place is incredibly well done psuedo-science and the physical plant is gorgeous.  I'll be going to the debate with a number of the science teachers in our district.

Here's a link to, um, somebody else's report on a visit to the museum.

It's, uh ... well, uh ... well ... it's not very politically correct.

On the other hand, it is (in my opinion) hilariously funny, and one of the very few examples I've ever seen of successful writing inspired by the style of HST.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.
