    As usual when dealing with Publicans, he may be both -- and/or crazy as well.
    What I'm referring to is that when he claims that:

    "...should the workers vote against the UAW, Volkswagen will announce...  that it will manufacture its new mid-size SUV here in Chattanooga"

    he obviously intends us to take it to mean not just "IF the workers vote against unionizing," but "ONLY IF they vote no."
    (The former would be consistent with a choice to make the SUV there even if the UAW is voted in; the latter would not be.)
    So:  is he deliberately attempting to mislead everyone as to what he's heard from VW management?
    Or is he himself unaware of the difference between a sufficient condition and a necessary condition?
    Or is it both?
    Or is it possible that VW is telling him one thing, and everyone else something different?
    Be nice to hear some updates / clarifications from the company on this.

      but it's useful for corporate ass-kissers like Corker... he's merely sending a message to his Masters.
