    to be explaining to someone that since they have a strike on their record, if they reject the 2 years in prison offer they could be looking at 6 if they lose.  And its even worse than it seems, if they take the 2 then they get day for day credits which give you 1 yr.  If they go down under the strike they get 1/5, which means they do 80%.  If you add another strike it goes to 25 to life, now whether you are innocent or not rolling the dice between 1 yr and a minimum of 80% of 25 years is not a choice anyone should have to make.
