    Mainly because it seems like a more energy-efficient way to make them (is it? I honestly don't know).  At least it's much faster.

    I won't make eggs in it.  Someone gave me some little square of plastic with a hinged lid that made what the label claimed was an 'omelet'.  You slap in a couple of beaten eggs, add a tablespoon of milk and whatever else and microwave it for however long the box said to do so.

    The result was inedible.  It was like eating the tire off of my car.  So then I had a piece of non-biodegradable chunk of plastic that I'd never use.  I use it so store nuts and bolts.

      My egg preference is poached, so my ex gf bought me one of those plastic things that you just add water to, drop the egg in and microwave.

      Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Yolk is such a delicate thing, it must be handled carefully. A microwave can't do that.

      And, yeah, it takes longer to poach an egg on the stove, but really, it's not like you have to stand at the stove the whole time. I usually drop the egg in, do my hair, then come back to a perfectly poached egg.

      Eggs and microwaves just don't mix.
