I love my cast iron.  That gets more use than anything.

I have a toaster oven for warming up leftovers (in lacquered cast iron baking dishes).

For defrosting meat, you can put it in a tub of water to speed up the process, but the most efficient way is to plan ahead and take it out early to thaw at room temperature.  Better on the meat that way, too.

I have no use for a microwave and haven't owned one in over 3 years.  When we moved, we just gave it away.

We're all just monkeys burning in hell.

cast iron frying pan, I loved it, it was so used and so easy to use and wipe clean.  When i moved my landlord said I could have it, but he had regular winter renters coming in and I just knew they would miss it.
I moved into an apartment almost two years ago, the first thing i bought was a cast iron pre seasoned frying pan.  It just wasnt the same and it sits unused.  Someday i will attempt to season it properly and hope it works like the one I first fell in love with.
