    except as pure predatory parasitism, taking from others withing giving them anything back. These are people who resolved years ago that instead of actually working for a living and doing something productive with their lives, they'd just come up with ways of ripping off everyday people with no tangible benefit to society, even if it ultimately destroyed society.

    These are sociopaths who could give a rat's ass about society's well-being let alone economic fairness. And voters keep electing them, because they've cleverly marketed themselves as rock-ribbed salt of the earth conservatives to people who don't know any better, and divided them off from their natural economic allies on the left over bogus "cultural" issues.

    It's axiomatic that what you build, others will try to take. We got lax on that for some reason. Perhaps the Vietnam war did it, taking away peoples' natural defense mechanisms due to political burnout over the war and other 60's crises. Everybody retreated from politics, and the wolves came out to feast.
