  •  Okay, I get how there are ruthless bastards... (11+ / 0-)

out there in the world and their tough talk and smack downs can be like some sort of perverse school kid gotcha popularity at first glance.  That all makes reasonable sense to me.

What I do not get is how these people are supposedly representing the "CRISTIAN VALUES" part of the country!?!?!?

Okay, maybe I am mistaken but I thought Christian values are supposed to be about helping the poor, forgiving sinners, loving thy neighbor...  How does any of this make any sense to anyone?

If the libertarians, who swore allegiance to Ayn Rand, were winning these elections and the supporters were out there saying screw the lazy, good for nothing poor and "Let 'em Die!" and...  it... would... all... start... to ...make... Hey! Wait a minute...

Are you sure this is the Christian Bible Belt and not  the "Libertarian Belt of Mammon"?  Bacause THAT would make more sense.

"Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not YET sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour..."

    •  I believe you're confusing Christianity (6+ / 0-)

with the American Christian Party. Two of my sisters profess belief in the former, while ignorantly enabling the agenda of the latter. As long as the ACP pays lip service to their personal "values," they'll overlook all manner of atrocity.

What seemingly few of my Democratic brethren understand is that a dollar bill can't literally walk into the voting booth and pull the lever. Your only tool for exacting accountability is the casting, or withholding, of your vote. Don't be an enabler.
