  •  The Christian Right is doing fine (10+ / 0-)

at the national level and every other level where they are active.

As a matter of fact I debated Kennedy on NPR's Fresh Air and have written extensively about Roy Moore.  Did you know Moore is the sitting Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, elected statewide?  Did you know he is coming to Maryland, sponsored by the subjects of this story on March 15th?

People are reading far too much into the polls about the "nones."  I'll have more to say about that one of these days, but in the meantime, just look around you.  Political power is the result of many things besides shifts in religious and non-religious identity.  Don't let some people's wishful thinking fool you.

But I agree that secessionist movements are real and gaining strength.

    •  The broadcast on "Fresh Air" with an NAR leader (0+ / 0-)

was one of the most terrifying things I've ever heard in my life.

These people have money.  They have influence.  They have no scruples at all when it comes to dealing with non-Christians.  And they are behind, or associated with, an astonishing number of Republicans, from Rick Perry and Sarah Palin on down.

We CANNOT ignore them.  We cannot.   They have been planning their takeover of America for decades, and in many areas they are very, very close to enacting at least some of their agenda (or already have - remember covenant marriages?).  They scare me more than anything currently in American politics, including the Randians like Paul Ryan and Ran Paul.

This isn't freedom. This is fear - Captain America
