  •  Wow Randy, what an inspiring diary (6+ / 0-)

I'm also a Nebraskan, living in Lincoln. I've got a few questions for you that I've been wondering about.

First, I'm getting a lot of emails from the Dave Domina campaign in which he talks about his involvement with your lawsuit. Did you feel that his involvement was a positive thing?

Second, if his involvement is considered to be positive, is it possible that he will get more support from the 3rd district than most people assume he might?

I've been wondering about whether to get actively involved in his campaign.

    •  Glad you asked (14+ / 0-)

because for the first time in my life I'm going to bat for a political candidate and that is Mr. Domina. I have told alot of people that we don't need to elect a "good Republican" or a "good Democrat" we need to elect a good "Nebraskan" and in my opinion that is exactly what Dave Domina is. I know he will be getting a lot of crossover votes from Republican landowners.

      •  Oh wow, that's great! (3+ / 0-)

Looks like I need to start getting actively involved in his campaign.

I will remind folks how they can support Dave.

Our presumptive Democratic nominee for the open seat Nebraska Senate race in 2014 is the eminent trial lawyer who won this case for us, David Domina.  Give him a chance to make his case to the Nebraska electorate by donating now to his campaign at ActBlue:

You can access his Senate campaign webpage here:

Or check out his firm website here:

I am a Domina donor.  Some of you may be tempted to write off the chances of Domina actually competing in this race.  I heard the same thing about Heitkamp and Donnelly.  You can't win if you don't play.

Remember, before 2012, Nebraska had at least one Democratic senator, often two, continuously since before Carter was president.  We've won 9 of the last 13 Senate elections, most recently in 2006.  We CAN win with the right candidate.  Give Domina a chance to make his case...
